BC HARTWELL grew up in Lyons, IL, a small suburb of Chicago where the pursuit of adventure was admired and the ability to tell a good story, prized. At the age of eight he knew he wanted to do both. So he became a professional travel guide, spending thirteen years escorting a variety of trips: bus tours, cruises, business retreats, winter and spring break excursions. While so many of his life experiences make for good storytelling, his passionate voice and spiritual insights are what make those stories memorable. He and his wife Jenny still live in the Chicago suburbs where they’ve taken on the most challenging adventure of all: raising two teenage girls, Tess and Taite.
